Lately, I have discovered that the macbook pro is rarely scratch resistant. I’ve been moving mine around a lot lately, to work and back home and this has resulted in little scratches on the body. I have had a few other laptops in the past and they were hardly as vulnerable to scratches as this one.... Read more

After a few days of contemplation, I finally decided to install Coldfusion 8 over Coldfusion 7 on my new macbook pro. Installing CF 8 was not easy though, it took me one whole weekend and late nights before I got it up and running. Pheeew! Online support was also poor (well, Leopard is fairly new anyway so not too many people would have tried this!) Like me, some succeeded but not without some struggle. On top of that I have only worked with windows machines and servers, never with Apache nor terminal, not even a Mac.... Read more

When upgrading from Coldfusion 7 to Coldfusion 8, you might want to check that the same function names used in your site (and parameter names), while running on CF 7, do not clash with the new functions in CF 8.... Read more
